Aly has recently returned from her maternity leave and is accepting new patients.
Meet Aly!
After graduating from the University of Calgary with a Bachelors of Kinesiology, Aly completed her Master’s of Physical Therapy at McGill University in Montreal. Before becoming a physiotherapist she was a competitive dancer and worked as a dance instructor while completing her undergrad.
Along with treating many types of strains, sprains, and other musculoskeletal injuries, she is also one of our women's pelvic health physiotherapists and has helped many women experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction (pain, incontinence, urgency, perinatal conditions, etc.)
Aly has a special interest in working with women during and after pregnancy. She is passionate about helping women feel empowered, informed, and supported throughout their pregnancy, the 4th trimester (first three months postpartum), and beyond. She has taken courses covering topics like preparing for labour and delivery, how to manage pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain, and how best to recover from diastasis rectus abdominis (abdominal separation) and other pregnancy related pelvic floor dysfunction. Since becoming a mom herself, this passion has only grown.
Aly uses many assessment and treatment techniques including: patient education, manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, dry needling, shockwave therapy and individualized exercise prescription to help you reach your physiotherapy goals and get back to the activities you enjoy.
Outside of the clinic Aly loves snowboarding, skiing, and just being outside spending time with her family.
You can find Aly in the clinic on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
