Shannon Rogers

Chronic Pain and Functional Rehabilitation Specialist, TMJ, Headache, Women's Health

I am born and raised in Calgary and completed my Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Health Physiology at the University of Calgary. I enjoy an active childhood, studying ballet and competing in various sports throughout my youth. My passion for health and exercise inspired my career direction as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist. I've spent 15 years as a Pain Specialist working with both the AHS Chronic Pain Program, where I designed clinical exercise programs and patient education workshops for improved function and pain management. Here I had gained an appreciation for the impact that specific lifestyle choices, and health behaviours have on health and pain management.

With my background as a Registered Massage Therapist and STOOTT Pilates instructor, I combine those practices with my clinical exercise and orthopaedic manual therapy skills. I focus in the areas of Pelvic Pain and Hypermobility, Chronic Headache and Complex Pain as well as Return to Fit post injury. I encourage my patients to take an inclusive view of their health and incorporate lifestyle coaching into my care approach.

I share my love of physical activity with my husband and four children. We enjoy being outdoors in all seasons, skiing, walking our dog along the river, and playing tennis. I carve out my time to workout while my kids are training at the pool or on the court. I also love to write, garden and photography.
