Shannon Rogers

Chronic Pain and Functional Rehabilitation Specialist, TMJ, Headache, Women's Health

Shannon was born and raised in Calgary and completed her Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Health Physiology at the University of Calgary. She enjoyed an active childhood, studying ballet and competing in various sports throughout her youth. Shannon's passion for health and exercise inspired her career direction as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist. She has spent 15 years as a Pain Specialist working with both the AHS Chronic Pain Program, where she designed clinical exercise programs and patient education workshops for improved function and pain management. Here she gained an appreciation for the impact that specific lifestyle choices, and health behaviors have on health and pain management.

With Shannon's background as a Registered Massage Therapist and STOOTT Pilates instructor, she combines those practices with her clinical exercise and orthopedic manual therapy skills. Shannon focuses in the areas of Pelvic Pain and Hypermobility, Chronic Headache and Complex Pain as well as Return to Fit post injury. "I encourage my patients to take an inclusive view of their health and incorporate lifestyle coaching into my care approach."

She also shares her love of physical activity with her husband and four children. "We enjoy being outdoors in all seasons, skiing, walking our dog along the river, and playing tennis. I carve out my time to workout while my kids are training at the pool or on the court. I also love to write, garden and photography."
